DIY Slide maker

right manne:

gou gekyk na pryse.
indien ek die slide makers uit stainless staal sou maak, is die kostes so R 300 elk.
dit sal posgeld insluit "posgeld op n R100 gereken"

die raam sal wees uit 40mm* 5mm
6mm stainless shaft
10mm stainless handle.
welding sal stainless staal wees.

ek gaan nie die goed polish nie.
dis n ander ding daai

geweone staal werk goedkoper uit.
maar gaan roes.

onthou net, stain less steel beteken nie roes vry nie, dit beteken stain less!!

@guys:
I called the stainless steel suppliers in Nigel.
They did not have stock of the steel I wanted.
Will see if I can get lucky later during this week.

Things are hectic at work, and I am self employed.

so werk is eerste, dan speelgoed.

ok. this slide maker is the one that does not clip open.
its a nightmare to take your main line out of it.

maar hoe julle die draaie op die master gaan kry weet ek nie.

elkeen op sy eie.

met my jig kan jy draaie op mekaar maak, of baie ver uit mekaar uit.

dit alles hang af cvan jou hand vaardighede.

Willem ja myne het ek n coach boud gevat een groot een die thread in hom gee hom eweredige spasieeering en ek het een wat glad is dat jy kan nader draaie draai .

Jammer ek vat so lank om te antwoord , ek werk in Ghana Afrika ons is twee uure agter SA ,ek kom oor twee weeke SA toe op my verlof dan gaan ek Suid kus toe . Ek kom net elke ses maande huistoe vir drie weeke .

The tool i copied from the video don't know if you can buy it any where , took some time to design , made a few adjustments and works great .

Right.
Have been busy this week in making slide makers for those of you that do not have equipment to make them.

as stated, all are made of stainless steel.

please note, that I will only be making 10 of them.
the time and effort is not the money worth.

to me it is not about the money.
it allows me more time to play with steel, be it stainless or mild.

in this exercise I used my steel metal lathe and tig welder.

so through playing, im learning.

I thought about making a slide maker with 2x shafts, which will enable you to turn a smaller diameter slide.

this would need some thinking.

what I did do, was to take different wire sizes being, 0.9mm, 1,6 mm and 2mm

all turned on the same slide maker.

the results are the same, and thus a 2nd shaft system would not be needed.

so please find a pic of the newly made slide makers.
