There is a lekka hole washed open before NSRI and to the left of the bridge just before NSRI. Myself, rob and possibly Def are going down to either skuinsbank/Vic pier/Stinkbank this evening. Heard about the Bronzies comming out there...must be some shad...

Who is comming...?

Guys...quick question...
If I don't have a lisence to pump mud-prawn (prawn in general), then can I still buy it from locals?
Or do I need the bait lisence?

Anybody catch anything last night? That hole in front of NSRI had a HECTIC current! Geez!

Cheers,
Cuan

Hey Buddy...

I believe that the practice of buying from locals is not one to be incouraged. These fella's go out their business with no regard for the sea harvesting above the quota's.

Rather (Irecon) pay the bucks and get a license. Myself and Robyosh are all over the place on Saterdays and Sundays. If you don't have a pump, give us a shout and we can make a plan...besides...pumping is good for the arms...chicks dig it...

So...last weekend it was catching grunters by hand...this week it is cob of the boat... Halfjack, Robyosh and myself were treated to a fantastic fishing experience by Jack at Gouritz where some good cob was landed. The biggest weighed in at 17.5kg and 5 other long fins were caught on Saterday... Southern Cape boys know how to do it...

lol :p Some nice fish there guy!

JAM, thanks for the reply. Yeah I know the locals tend to F*c* up the banks/etc. In PE they have guys "accredited"? by nature conservation who you can buy from. Just thought maybe there something similar here.
Anyway, who all is going out this week? I'm pretty tied up till Wednesday, but was thinking o hitting Vic Bay then or something.

Cheers,
Cuan

Nice to see this post coming to life !, hope to join you guys some day soon. Keep the reports coming, I haven't been for a throw off the surf or bricks in months and at least reading these threads makes me feel better.

I will however be off to Nature's this weekend and hope to report on some catches I have made.

Cheers !!:SSS
