Just interested to know how you make it easy when packing for an outing. I always seem to have so much stuff. How do you pack your lures. Trebles always get hooked and tangled. Please share your tips.

hi, so i only do bait fishing atm,so not sure how tis might help u, but spinning is something im trying to get into, looks like something lekker to try out.

the bag i currently use: https://bigcatch.co.za/products/sensation-pro-series-surf-spin-tackle-bag

prices seem to have gone up quite a bit from when i bought mine, i previously used an H-frame, but moved over to using this small'ish waist bag, its actually a bag made for spinning with removable pouch for lures etc, been using this for at least 2 years, and so far havent run into a situation where i didnt have what i needed.

How i pack the bag:

front pouch(the smaller of the 2):piece of stiff hihg density foam, about 20cmx10cm where i hook all my pre-made traces into and wrap around, its neat and tidy and easy access, roll of hook trace line, roll of sinker trace line, measure tape, small 15x10cm box with dividers for terminal tackle, knife, braid scissors

back pouch: all the backup stuff in here, braid leader, mono leader, roll of mono main line(500m), roll of braid main line(300m), small zip tie bag with hooks, swivels etc different sizes to top up box in front pouch, permit, and even an extra reel(multiplier), all this stuff fits into the bag and it zips close, although the front pooch zips are now gone due to corrosion, the bag even has small pouch for my sinkers. fishing like this i found to be very light weight, and makes rock hopping so much easier. hope this can help u in some way ::tight:

I have a similar bag.
I don't take additional line with.
Front pouch for traces and permit each in a bank bag
5 ounce sinkers left pouch 4 ounce sinkers right pouch.
Inside i have
.60 trace line
.70 leader line
.40 sinker line
3 nylon grapnels
Small tackle box with dividers 20cm by 15cm
bag of floats (dont fish foam)spare pack of sigarettes with spare lighter in bankbagspare spool of cotton
Leaves space for an extra reel, or if i want lures with it can take a second one of the small boxes with lures in.
Leaves space for one waterbottle and pack of speckled eggs
With bait belt and "bakkies" filled, one with 2 rolls of bait cotton, a few traces, sinkers and prawn, mussel and redbait (ready beat chokka if you want to be fancy) in the bakkies, sorted for the 4 of us for an entire day fishing.

For the lures there is an easy way - I used the old school steel case that's been used for the pens & pencils and small rulers.
