Hi fellow sealiners.
I am planning on doing a 4/5 day trip to Massingir dam in Mozambique-travelling through Kruger park via Letaba and Giriyondo border post.
I have never been there and was hoping someone out there could shed some light on this dam. The Letaba and Olifants rivers flow into it and the dam wall was raised a few years ago causing some consternation in Kruger as it pushed back into the park flooding large croc breeding grounds.
Will probably stay in Covane fishing lodge. I have my own boat(Ski Vee 500) and all the gear needed.
I believe there are some big tigers in the dam and they are suppose to be present in large numbers. Also present are huge barbel, carp and bream. Main target would however be the tigers and barbel.(I am always fishing for barbel!)
This venue has been on my to do list for a while and will be an exploration trip so to speak but I think it will be a real fun outing.
Any reports, feedback regarding the venue will be appreciated and if there is somebody who would seriously like to join we can make a plan.
Looking forward to your feedback, many thanks.
