Hello Sisters.....

Went out to Brookwood Trout Estate this weekend.....and what do you know.
For R40.....theres going to be some good fun there this Summer.
Watch this space

wow nice fish man!,  where is this place?  i take it u can fish for carp u like and not trout, what tactics did u use to catch that one?  I rekcon a fish that size could be my bait quota for the whole year, hehe, just kidding

Hi,

Yeah you can fish for trout using Fly Tackle or Fish for Bass and carp using lures. Brookwood is in Muldersdrift towards Tarlton.

I see it was the bottom lake. Was it taken on Fly?

Yep, taken at the botoom dam on lure and released into the top dam (Over the bridge)

Wich dam will be the best to fish for carp there? over the bridge? bottem clear dam with the yellows in?... and bait?

I guess the bottom dam...especially if you doing bait fishing.
I cant comment on bait as I fish artlure.

BTW. I dont fish for carp, and must admit I was lucky with this one

Yeah, I caught a small bass, nothing to brag about. But I guess these bass are spawning now, cos I saw plenty decent sized bass moving around in pairs.

I would say give it another 2 weeks, for good action.

Let me know when ypou planning on going down to Brookwood. Maybe we can do a social.

I've been to brookwood a few times...caught nice Yellows!!!.. bass can be tough to fish.. I'll goin you guys for a social..let me know

What did you catch the yellows on??
So its a bit difficult to catch bass there???is there a reason for this??Just asking...
I might go with my girlfriend...the next time...so the social might be difficult for me...but im always up for it...

Believe it or not, but realy small bread baits...was surprised that they took the bait at all!!...will try to post some pics...
well, if ya want i can bring my fiance with? she's almost better at fishing than i am...
I've got no idea why... One guy caught a +-2kg on spinner bait the one time..and that was with his 5th cast...so, maybe just an off day for me...
