![]() so exited getting a 400/3 and wanted some input from guys using these rods .im a huge purglass fan and by time i got my own . would the SL30SH go well with the rod for casting a 5oz and nice cobie bait? any advice ![]() ![]() ![]()

It will work but a SL40 would be better suited. You're going to spend a long time reeling in after every cast with a SL30. The rod will work fine with a 5oz and nice bait. Some guys, HOW I don't know fish a 9oz on the rod, I don't recommend over 7oz (total casting weight (sinker and bait))with it though.

thanks for the reply enigma. the reason im changing from using my g3 i find that the rod dont work well with my tech of casting feels a bit stiff. and wanted something with a nicer action . i currently have a x30sha and a sl30sh will thry and get me a grandwave 40
