Hi Hennie

Going for bass and maybe some barbel. Yes i do have a boat,
and that is why i need to know what water level is like.
Read that they close dam for boats if water gets to low.

Was there this weekend for an artlure league. Fishing was good. Dam is low, 59% full, but boats still allowed on dam. Nailed the bass on spinners with a double up between me and my boatpartner. Redbreast kurper are big and on nests, decent one's were caught on spinners (nr1) and Salmo Hornets nr2. Bass preferred smaller baits. A few nice one's came out with biggest bass over 2kg.

Thank you very much for feedback......sounds good, would like to catch some kurper as well. When do you guys have an artlure "clinic" or something again? Myself and a friend would like to attend to see how its done.:)

Hi Aqua

We want to learn more on catching barbel, carp and
kurper.....sometimes bass get difficult but theres
always some other fish around that we want to target then.
When are you going to J/bay again?

Oh sorry your right Hennie, fished Roodekopjes the weekend before and mixed up the two dam's water levels:fbash.
Though the dam is lower than when we fished it last in October. Heading towards the river it gets very shallow in some places.

Pitbull, we usually run the seminars to attract new oakes to join our clubs. But this season we have so many anglers we did not run a seminar. You can learn most of what you want to know by following my dad's articles on artlure in Stywe Lyne. Each month he covers a different specie.
