zandvlei fishing

Got 4 elf and 2 small leeries a few days ago. It's good to see the fish are still around. I have caught quite a few elf there and mostly caught on small spinners just before sunset. One day in zandvlei you will be on the fish and shoals of fish feeding right infront of you and other days the exacted opposite. If you put the hours in you will find success. Try your luck before the big rains come.
Good luck and as always: catch and release.

Was there a two weeks ago and got quite a few small leeries but went again this afternoon and got nothing. The water level seems to have dropped quite a lot.

Remember that it is now illegal to take any indigenous fish out of the vlei.

I'm also told that the water quality makes them dangerous to eat!

not to long ago residents were putting up illegal signs... know your rules know your area and dont abuse it.
