There are heavy metals in the vlei from the motor, body works and related paint industries from years back still in the area up the canals.. was at the meeting the other night . livebait and trebles are allowed its a proposal that still needs to be tabled possibly next year according to Dalton boards were put up as its standard practice to ban live bait and trebles in all sanctuaries/national parks but its not in place yet .
