Hi guys, I need to decide which 1 to get, as an edible rod. Medium heavy casts 3-5 ounce, but I'm worried that when I need to cast a livie, it might be too heavy... Not sure if the 6-8 ounce heavy can be used to scratch with. Will it be too stiff to target gallies with?? Anyone with some 1st hand experience of the 2 rods?? Thanx!

Hi there. The Evo 3-5 is a tad light to cast a livie. I suppose it would be ok to cast a very small livie. The 6-8oz is waaayyy too heavy for scratching. My advise to you is to get the XH Horizon for livies and if your budget allows, get the 3-5oz Evo for scratching My 2cents

I personally use the 3-5 evo zero. Great stick. Casts a 5oz with decent Livie with ease. Can definitely recommend it

Solid rod. I have one. No problems casting a livie. You must remember you with a live bait you not really casting. More lobbying it in front of you.

Thank you guys, I really appreciate the inputs!! I've been wrecking my brain for the last couple of days, not knowing which way to go. Every night before I go to bed, I had made up my mind as to which 1 to get, just to read something online the next morning, and then changing my mind all over again....🤦♂️🤭🤣
