Hi there Harold, you good ?

I've seen members chatting about where they could source Holographic/Prism Tape from before on the forum.

It seems as if Crazy Store might be 1 of those shops where you might find.
See this old discussion.

Also send Bennie Jordaan a PM, he might direct you to local guys.

All good and you Ben?
I've seen stuff from the Crazy Store. Looking for the same pattern as the original. Haven't seen a post from Bennie in a while..... Lock-down? I sent him a PM so will wait to hear from him.

Didn't want to hijack your recent post looking for a Crucial but I gave up many years ago and settled for :-
"Loomis Platinum SP9-MH 9' IM9 Graphite" This IM9 blank is something else. I rarely get to use it but have the most fun when I do so another option for someone looking for an older model Crucial.

Thanks Ben. Not really in the market for anything right now. I recently bought the Sensation 6'6" Power Plus paired with an Okuma Ceymar 30 for some light fun. Amazing combo - just need to dust it off soon else this might also find it's way to the classifieds....

Nothing wrong with your outfit Harold, it just needs the angler holding it now;)

Ben, just for interest sake, how much does those Crucial's go for? And what's the lure rating?

Hi there.

The Crucial in discussion is the old spec nl. IM 9 graphite composite, the 7'11 model.
They no longer available in tackleshops, as it's the newer IM 10 composite now, & it would seem as if owners are realy holding on to their older model for the very reason I was looking for one.
The lure weight on the 7'11 is 1/4 - 1/2oz (7-14g) & is a Medium Heavy Fast action rod, rated for 10-25lb mono & 20-50lb braid.

I must be honest about the braid rating, not to sure if it is correct, but as its printed.

Its actually a baitcasting rod, but I had it converted to a spinning rod.
Must honestly say, what a fine job done by "Tackleholic" & the rod came out absolutely fantastic.
A new set of K guide series was added, new reel seat with new cork.

The thing with Tackleholic is, its not just a mere guide & reel-seat change & give it its clear coat, no no no.....he will ensure that the rod has sufficient guides placed 100% correctly to give you the ultimate quality of line feed during the cast, choke & with a smooth feed thru the guides.
There is quite a bit of testing involved from his side to give you the ultimate rod back.
His work is fantastic & worth each cent !
