Hi guys,

I've been looking for a heavier eds/in-eds rod for a while now( lockdown) and have narrowed it down to Okuma Metaloid or the Assassin equinox, both in 14'6 and 6-8oz range.

With lockdown, I can't feel the rods and am reluctant to buy without comparing them directly, although I am edging towards the Okumadue to the better quality components.
Can someone please advise whether the Metaloid is a slim blank, or is it still the "old" thicker blanks? Also, in line with this, I've read somewhere that it is quite a heavy blank, weightwise.
Any thoughts on these two topics would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
