please advise on the current conditions of Meerhof? and the situation with the Hyacinth.

please also provide any tips on what works well there.


we are planning a trip the long weekend in June.

The hyacinth is a problem if the wind direction is blowing towards you.

what works well is tigers and hemp as feed and tigers as bait.
flavors to use is banana and other fruity flavors and a light garlic will get you some fish.

Go deep to +- the middle and stay clear +- 50m from the concrete slabs.

Biggest problem is the wind The other resort that i will almost recommend is Kommandonek same issue is depends on the wind what the hyacinth does but kommandonek is saver according to me. Have seen guy's in the early mornings come down the river in cano's looking at meerhof and turn around when they see you move around.

 Personally I would never give my money to Meerhof again out of principle.  Very rude owner and incidentally I looked at the latest catches at Harties over the weekend and Meerhof came up.  The fact that he calls people c#nt (for discussing fish care policy) and other stuff on Facebook already shows the character (or lack thereof)
Do yourself a favour and read a bit through their Facebook page and the comments.
