I am looking at rod for edibles and non edibles. The 14.6 ft 6-8 ounce Makaira and Solar came to mind. I did consider the Assassin Evo Zero but in my case not worth the money as i only go fishing about 5-7 times a year. Anyone used these rods and would like your hinest opinion please. I want to pair it with my 8500 Pen Slammer 3. Thanks

Makaira. The rod can be used for both edibles and non-edibles which is fitted with top quality components. Ask Enigma. He has tested the Makaira. ![]()

I have the Okuma Makaria 14ft6 and I must say its a very nice rod for targeting both edibles and non-eds. I did however brake my tip on a cast this holiday, but that probably my own fault.

Makaira was my choice , casts great using a grinder or multiplier but i mostly use my Azores 80s ,but a fantastic rod well built.
