I paired it with a 6000 Sustain with 20lb jdb braid. I found that 2oz to 2,5oz works the best for me. Tried with a 3.5oz the other day and the rod performed very well, just makes you tired cast after cast. To me 2,5oz in plugs and 2oz spoons works the best. The Amia 11ftxh is a lekker rod for smaller 1-1,5oz lures.

one this topic another rod that really surprised me is the Okuma Pro series 11ft 2-4oz rod. Bought my wife one and is really performs. She uses it so cast small sinker with bait. Cast a 4oz sinker with bait extremely well. caught plenty of cob in Namibia with it. Aslo paired with a 6000 size reel and 30lb braid.
