The elusive mullet

I wish to catch some larger (20 cm plus) mullet, and streepies??? in the Garden rout area, with very light tacle. I have been to the old harbour in Knysna and the old trainbridge at Sedgefield. Plenty of them around but all to small!

Any advice on where to "hunt" for them??

chum them up with some sards and big mullet will come, when you see the small ones spook their there

I have seen schools of those 40cm plus springers in the Touws river but they are at a spot quite high up in the river, not near the mouth. Great spot to target them on light tackle.

No only went there once to try and catch a few with the net. So saw big schools of them just hanging around and thought to myself i would really like to go and try and catch a few of them on very light tackle. But was unsuccessful with the net because its to deep there and they are way to quick.

Drive all the way down Freesia Ave and park there. Then walk down to the river and look for them around that bend. Apparently there is also nice cob now and then that comes out early mornings.
